What is Mental Health?
Mental Health is our emotional, social, and psychological well being. Our mental health affects how we feel, think, and act. It also helps determine how we handle our stress, relate to others, and make our choices.
As kids grow, they go through many transitions: physical, emotional, hormonal, sexual, social, and intellectual. All the pressures and problems that are out there can vey easily become overwhelming. To many teens, these pressures and others can lead the way to one or more varieties of mental illness. All forms of mental illness are means for concern, because some can be life threatening.
